Speakability

Speakability is a national charity supporting those whose understanding and use of language are impaired by stroke, head injury, etc.

It offers a helpline, advice and literature for people with aphasia and their families, a friends scheme, quarterly newsletter, training for professionals and volunteers, and a communication training scheme for care staff of communication impaired people.

Speakability also has a network of over 90 self-help groups around the country including a group in Central London.
