RCJ Advice Bureau (Royal Courts of Justice Advice Bureau)

Provides access to justice to unrepresented litigants and potential litigants in the Royal Courts of Justice and the Principal Registry of the Family Division, through the provision of legal and other advice services.

The RCJ has two branches:

The Royal Courts of Justice for:

  • Bankruptcy service
  • Miscarriages of Justice

The Principal Registry of the Family Division for

  • Family law
  • Bailiffs or debt collectors
  • Rent or mortgage arrears
  • Council tax arrears
  • Gas/electricity/fuel arrears
  • Credit cards, loan, overdrafts
  • Payday loans
  • Budgeting
