Peabody owns and manages more than 27,000 homes in London, housing around 80,000 residents.

Operating only in the capital, they offer a range of tenures, including social housing, leasehold, shared ownership, supported housing and keyworker accommodation.

The Trust is also a provider of community programmes for its residents and neighbourhoods including: employment and training programmes, health and wellbeing initiatives, activities for young and older people, welfare benefits advice and family support programmes.

  • Rent a home - open market
  • Rent a home - intermediate market. Offers rents normally 20% lower than open market rates. You need to register with the First Steps scheme. Eligibility criteria apply - see site for further information.
  • Rent a home - social housing. Social housing is rented accommodation, often allocated according to need. It is let under secure or assured tenancies. Eligibility is determined by your local authority. Applications in Westminster are made through the Housing Options Service
  • Shared ownership
    You need to register with the Share To Buy scheme. Eligibility criteria apply - see site for further information. Once you’ve registered and been accepted, you can search for Peabody properties.    
  • Homes for over 50s - Referrals come from the local authority. Applications for referral in Westminster are made through the Housing Options Service.  If you are over 55 you may be able to buy shared ownership of a property in London through the Older People’s Shared Ownership scheme.  
  • Supported Housing - these schemes provide both housing and support to help vulnerable people live as independently as possible in the community. Each scheme specialises in meeting a particular support need, such as disability, mental health or substance misuse. Access to supported housing is by local authority referral requiring application to Westminster's Housing Options Service.
