The Passage
A homeless charity comprising a Day Centre and hostel working mainly with rough sleepers. They meet basic needs and offer advice and support with resettlement and rehabilitation, including help with housing, literacy and numeracy, mental and physical health.
Passage House hostel is open every day of the year providing accommodation for up to 40 people who would otherwise be sleeping rough.
Montfort House provides 16 self-contained flats with staff support on site for people preparing to move on to independent accommodation.
Services include: hot breakfast and lunch, showers, laundry, clothing, a quiet room, hairdressing, GPs, mental care, a mental health team, podiatrist, pastoral care, befriending.
Advice includes: night shelters, hostels, benefits, identification documents, form filling, debt counselling, entitlements, finding appropriate help.inks with specialist services, ongoing support.
Education, training and employment: basic computer training, basic literacy and numeracy, introduction to word processing, links with adult education colleges.
Mental health care: mental health workers provide specialised care with counselling referrals to treatment centres and ongoing support.
Alcohol and drug abuse: specialist workers offer counselling, referrals to treatment centres and ongoing support.
