Missing People

Missing People is an independent charity funded by donations. They search on behalf of those left behind and provide specialised support.

They provide an email and freefone service for missing people. Freefone: 116 000, text 116 000, email: 116000@missingpeople.org.uk. They also provide a service to report someone missing and to report sightings of missing persons.

The organisation respects people's right to go missing and to stay missing but may be able to offer help to people in crisis away from home. They do not trace calls or emails.

They provide Runaway Helpline, a national 24 hour helpline (116000) for anyone age 17 or under who has run away or been forced to leave home. They give confidential advice, make referrals to other organisations and can help a child or young person to get a place of safety. They can also pass a message to enable children or young people to get in touch with their family or carers.
