Kidscape

UK charity established specifically to prevent bullying and child sexual abuse. Kidscape works nationally to provide individuals and organisations with practical skills and resources necessary to keep children safe from harm. Kidscape works with children and young people under the age of 16, their parents/carers, and those who work with them.

Services include: ZAP Training programme to improve the self-esteem and confidence of children who have been bullied or abused.

Books, DVDs, posters, booklets, videos and leaflets on ways to tackle bullying and child abuse. These are suitable for teachers and other professionals, parents, young people and children.

A nation-wide training programme covering topics such as bullying, child safety and staff and personal development.

A Helpline offering invaluable advice and support for parents, guardians or concerned relatives and friends of bullied children. Children suffering bullying should ring Childline: 0800 1111 (http://www.childline.org.uk/).
