Disability Connect Westminster

Disability Connect Westminster is for people aged between 18 and 65 years of age who live in the City of Westminster and have a physical and/or sensory disability or those with long term conditions. The service helps people to overcome barriers and build their confidence and independent living skills.

The service can help people to:

  • Improve independence - for example using public transport with confidence.
  • Make the most of opportunities - for example doing activities, volunteering or getting work using the internet.
  • Socialise and meet people more - for example going to the cinema or concerts, sharing experiences and skills in a group.
  • Overcome barriers - learn how to deal with inaccessible services and finding out who can help.

Referral is preferably by social services, although self-referral is possible.

Disability Connect Westminster is managed by Action on Disability.
