Cardinal Hume Centre

The Cardinal Hume Centre enables people to gain the skills they need to overcome poverty and homelessness. It works with homeless young people, badly housed families and others in acute need in the local community, with a focus on four critical areas of need: income, housing, education and skills, and legal status.

Income:  Offers advice on employment and money management.

Housing:  Offers hostel accommodation for 16 – 21 year olds and housing advice and advocacy.

Education:  Offers English language and literacy (ESOL), IT training, work experience, early years learning and parenting classes.

Legal Status:  Offers accredited immigration advice and advocacy.

The Centre welcomes people from all backgrounds in line with Cardinal Hume’s founding ethos of offering sanctuary.

Offers a variety of volunteer opportunities.
