Air Training Corps: 291 Westminster & Chelsea Squadron

The 'Air Cadets' are a UK-wide cadet force with more than 40,000 boy and girl members aged between 12 1/2 (year 8) and 20 years.

The aims of the Royal Air Force Air Cadets are:

  • To promote and encourage among young men and women a practical interest in aviation and the Royal Air Force.
  • To provide training which will be useful both in the services and in civilian life.
  • To foster the spirit of adventure and to develop the qualities of leadership and good citizenship.

Activities include ceremonial duties, sports, shooting, flying, gliding, camping, adventure training, aircraft modelling, training in aviation subjects.

Participates in the Duke of Edinburgh scheme.

Summer camps. Charitable events.
