ADVANCE is a specialist domestic violence crisis intervention service for women within four Boroughs of London, including Westminster.

Supports women who are assessed as being high or very high risk of continued domestic and sexual abuse and those at risk of being killed.

Support is provided by IDVAs (Independent Domestic Violence Advisors) who are specially experienced and qualified individuals who can assess risk and support women with safety planning, risk management and practical support either before, during or after separation from the perpetrator of the violence.

IDVAs will believe the experience of the survivor and will not be judgmental. They will provide practical and emotional support for the survivor whatever choices they make.

IDVAs will help with access to a refuge or emergency housing and help with the criminal and justice systems if the survivor decides to leave a relationship.
